Description:
We are looking for a private equity, fund-of-funds experienced accounting professional to work in our Fund Accounting Team in our Bad Homburg office. This Fund Accounting Professional will be responsible for providing accounting information – including preparation, processing, and reviewing of transactions and financial reports – to the internal and external teams, clients, and investors.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of private equity-based accounting experience directly at a private equity fund, fund of funds, fund administrator
- Experience using Investran, E-front, or other accounting systems
- Experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements beginning to end
- Experience in US/ Lux GAAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Outstanding organizational and computer skills
- Attention to details, proven ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Positive attitude and the ability to work in a highly collaborative team, high speed environment
- Solid written and verbal communications skills
- Fluent in German and English

Responsibilities:
Manage numerous portfolios and perform all fund administration duties during the lifecycle (Formation, Investment period, Harvest, Liquidation) of private equity funds with varying investment strategies (i.e., Primary, Secondaries, and Co-investments):
- Record the journal entries for management fees, investments, accruals, other ex-pense/income, valuation adjustments and bank reconciliations
- Prepare accounting work papers and financial statements, including footnotes and supporting schedules, from beginning to end
- Confirm that all cash transactions have been completed (i.e., payment of capital calls, receipt of investment proceeds)
- Calculate and review capital transactions, management fees, and accruals
- Determine proper allocation of portfolio and income transactions
- Reach out to underlying investment for additional breakdown of investments’ proceeds
- Work with deal teams to understand deal structures and assist with execution activities relating to acquisition and disposition transaction
- Assist in the year-end audit process in collaboration with auditors and the administrator
- Perform and monitor a risk analysis on daily cash projections for all clients to mitigate liquidity concerns.
- Utilize advanced formulas to process improve all journal entries and account reconciliations
- Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders daily to resolve all queries in a timely manner.
- Develop cost projections based on past financial data and forecasted expenditures to reduce going over fiscal year budget.
- Special projects as needed
