The D. E. Shaw group seeks an exceptional research analyst to join its Fundamental Equities (FE) team. This is a recently created role aimed at helping the investment team develop unique insights through in-depth company research. This research will be a key input that leads to greater conviction on key investment decisions. What you’ll do day-to-day
In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving efforts that enable our analysts to gain a deeper understanding of the companies they cover through detailed company and industry analysis. You’ll attend industry conferences, conduct channel checks, run expert research calls, and collaborate directly with analysts in support of their investment decision-making process.
Who we’re looking for
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent and two to five years of relevant experience are required.
- A demonstrated record of academic and professional achievement, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills, is required.
- We seek intellectually curious individuals who take initiative, have an impressive ability to synthesize and communicate information, and demonstrate a genuine interest in the technology space.
- A background in equity research, investment analysis, or economics is preferred but not required.
- The expected annual base salary for this position is $135,000 to $160,000. Our compensation and benefits package includes variable compensation in the form of a year-end bonus, guaranteed in the first year of hire, and benefits including medical and prescription drug coverage, 401(k) contribution matching, wellness reimbursement, family building benefits, and a charitable gift match program.
