Description:

Duties/Pligte

The Fundraiser and Partnerships Coordinator for the FMHS focuses on the duties set out below.

  • Developing and maintaining relationships by building and sustaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including alumni, individual philanthropists, corporates, foundations and trusts;
  • Enabling mission delivery and sustainability by securing philanthropic funding to support the Faculty’s mission and sustainability goals, focusing on areas such as student access and success, pioneering and excellent research, infrastructure development, and social impact through community projects and applied research;
  • Collaborating with the Major Gifts team at the DAR to secure support across various funding levels;
  • Increasing financial aid by raising funds, specifically to support disadvantaged students, thereby enhancing the financial aid that the Faculty can offer;
  • Bolstering donor confidence and fostering alumni pride to encourage their ongoing support;
  • Implementing fundraising initiatives that include annual and more frequent giving drives targeting FMHS staff, alumni and friends, as well as online giving campaigns;
  • Assisting with strategy development by helping to draw up and execute a strategy to meet annual fundraising targets, including a moves management strategy for donor portfolios.
