DESCRIPTION

The Fundraising Development Officer is responsible for driving the Reena Foundation’s fundraising efforts through the development and execution of comprehensive fundraising strategies. This role involves identifying new funding opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with donors, managing fundraising campaigns, and supporting the organization’s growth and sustainability. The ideal candidate will possess strong strategic planning abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep commitment to our mission. The Fundraising Development Officer is critical in fostering a philanthropic culture within the organization and beyond.

FORMAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in fundraising or development, with a proven track record of securing annual gifts and managing successful campaigns.
  • Experience with digital fundraising platforms and social media marketing.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in fundraising.

  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on resolving service issues promptly and taking personal responsibility for outcomes.
  • Effectively manages multiple priorities by planning ahead, staying well-organized, and maintaining keen attention to detail to meet strict deadlines.
  • Maintains strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including Reena stakeholders, donors, and other external partners.
  • Works in conditions that may involve direct contact with individuals and families, handling stressful situations, frequent interruptions, and maintaining infection control protocols, while staying prepared for physical and sensory demands during emergencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs and assists in the implementation of a sustainable and growing annual giving program to include a year-end digital campaign
  • Design and implement communication and stewardship plan for endowment fund holders
  • Manage the donor database and assist in the transition from Raiser’s Edge to Donor Perfect.
  • Develop a comprehensive, strategic annual fundraising program, accounting for all current and future gifts up to $10,000, to build the pipeline for gifts beyond the $10,000 to $100,000.
  • Analyze fundraising trends and adjust strategies to maximize effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with both current and potential donors.
  • Create personalized stewardship plans to enhance donor engagement and retention.
  • Oversee the creation of campaign materials, including brochures, presentations, and online content.
  • Assist The Events Manager with the fundraising events.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment of fundraising activities with overall organizational goal.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure fundraising aligns with the organization’s overall goals, while providing support to the fundraising team and representing the organization in the community.
  • Provides comprehensive support to individuals by coordinating medical needs, including arranging and attending appointments, advocating for better treatment, and offering education on health, nutrition, safety, and hygiene.
