Description:
OVERVIEW:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, highly motivated, self-starter to join our team.
The ideal person will have fundraising or marketing experience and must be able to hit the
ground running and capable of managing projects without supervision. This will be of
interest to someone with 2 years+ experience in a fundraising or marketing environment who
wants to make their mark.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
At least 2 years professional experience in a fundraising or marketing role.
Ø Excellent background in event and campaign management.
Ø You will be familiar with the setting of and management of your own budgets.
Ø You will possess strong social media and digital marketing skills.
Ø You will be extremely comfortable in making presentations.
Ø You will possess excellent writing skills for producing highly relevant donor materials
Ø Outstanding interpersonal & communication skills demonstrating a passion for your work.
Ø You will demonstrate an ability to work well with a team as well as on your own initiative.
Ø Ability and willingness to attend meetings, event and networking opportunities.
Ø Full experience of delivering the activities described in the job description above will be an advantage.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join DCM as the first ever
dedicated fundraising resource. While it is a specified purpose contract should the
individual make an impact during their time on this project there may be scope for a
permanent role in the future with possibility for promotional opportunity.
Job Types: Part-time, Specified-purpose
Pay: €38,000.00-€40,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week

Responsibilities:
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø To create, devise and implement a calendar of fundraising events and campaigns to achieve agreed financial targets.
Ø Manage our existing relationships and work with the CEO to identify and initiate new partnerships to develop the brand and bring in fundraising income.
Ø Participate in the management and development of the DCM legacy programme.
Ø Developing a stewardship programme to ensure we build upon our relationships with our current donors.
Ø Devise ways to increase donors across all of our services and work.
Ø Represent DCM at events on our behalf to increase awareness of the organisation.
Ø Research grant and foundation opportunities and complete relevant paperwork as required in conjunction with Finance.
Ø Do the groundwork for a major capital campaign which will commence in Q4 2025 by identifying leads and opportunity for corporate partnerships and donations for our city centre social action work.
Ø Ensure our social media is being optimised for fundraising activity.
Ø Carry out any other duties that may be required from time to time.
