JOB DESCRIPTION:

Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a talented and experienced Game Designer to join the World of Warcraft Classic team. As a designer on our team, you will be implementing and collaborating across disciplines to bring features and updates to WoW Classic through iteration, thoughtfulness, cooperation, and feedback.
The ideal candidate has proven experience in game design, a strong aptitude for critical thinking and analysis, outstanding people skills, boundless creativity, a strong visual aesthetic, and a passion for playing and analyzing games.
This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The home studio for this role is in Irvine, CA.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Game design experience or a portfolio demonstrating equivalent experience.
  • Ability to design, implement, and tune systems, combat, or content.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and collaborate with other teams to take revered, reimagined, or all-new gameplay experiences and systems to a whole new level for players.
  • Document and plan the execution of designs that recreate, and improve upon, previous WoW experiences.
  • Design and implement features and content into the Classic WoW experience.
  • Collaborate in a close-knit team environment.
