Description:

We are seeking a creative and driven Game Designer Intern to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in conceptualizing, designing, and refining games that integrate gamified training for eye movements (and potentially motor skills) in young children. While the development work will be outsourced to a third-party developer, this internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in game design while contributing to a meaningful educational project.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong passion for game design, gamification, and educational development.
  • Familiarity with game development platforms (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) and a basic understanding of their workflows.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C#, C++, or JavaScript is a plus.
  • Creative thinker with an ability to design innovative, child-friendly games.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and conceptualize engaging game ideas focused on training eye movements for preschool-aged children.
  • Design game mechanics, features, and experiences that align with the educational objectives of the project.
  • Develop ideas for game levels, characters, and interactive elements that are both fun and age-appropriate.
  • Coordinate with educators and professionals to ensure the game meets developmental and educational standards.
  • Assist in conducting user testing sessions, analyzing feedback, and iterating designs for improved gameplay and effectiveness.
  • Communicate design goals and detailed specifications to third-party developers for implementation.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving design-related issues as they arise.
  • Support the management team with general tasks and duties as needed.
