THE OPPORTUNITY:
Red River Co-op is inviting applications for the position of Gas Bar Manager (Multi-Site) to lead the teams at several of our Gas Bars located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We are recruiting three people and these are new positions within our Co-op.
We are seeking a hands-on individual who is committed to service and has the required leadership skills to lead their front-line staff.
Reporting to the Gas Bar Operations Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:
- Ensure a healthy and safe work environment for our staff and members.
- Be a brand ambassador for the Co-op;
- Apply industry leading standards in category management and merchandising;
- Oversee 2-3 locations and travel between the sites daily;
- Lead the teams to provide world class customer service;
- Communicate with our Environmental Supervisor to ensure compliance with all legal and environmental requirements;
- Achieve financial results and budget objectives in the areas of sales, margins, expenses and profits;
- Ensure standards of the Gas Bar are met, including a high level of daily paperwork, such as cash summaries, customer service, cleanliness, inventory control, rotation, and ordering.
- Provide leadership and direction to employees in accordance with company policies, procedures, programs, and overall expectations;

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:
- You will have a class 5 license and access to a reliable vehicle as travel between sites will be necessary;
- Prior experience in managing a high-paced retail business, preferably in a gas bar and/or car wash environment;
- Above average communication / interpersonal skills (both written and verbal);
- A full commitment to building effective teams;
- An aptitude for marketing, leadership, bookkeeping, maintaining image standards, human resources, and strong merchandising techniques;
- A firm, yet friendly and sociable personality;
- A natural affinity of welcoming our members to the site, while embracing an inclusive environment for our employees;
- A strong understanding of computer applications, especially Microsoft Office;
- An ability to work well with others
