Gas Processing Engineer

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Gas Processing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical and process engineering and will be responsible for designing, detailed designing, packaging and assisting the fabrication team in creating these gas processing modular systems .
We are looking for an Engineer with Gas Processing experience. Ideally, a Mechanical, Chemical or Petroleum Engineer who can speak across engineering disciplines to drive fabrication projects.

SKILLS

• 2+ years’ experience in packaging manufacturing equipment with an aptitude for assembly and fabrication
• Engineering Degree, eligible to register with APEGA as a P. Eng or EIT

Experience stamping P&IDs for related units is an asset.

• Exposure to the following is an asset

o deep-cut/cryogenic plants
o packaging condensate stabilizers, amine units, Mole Sieve, and/or refrigeration units, etc.
o Sizing pumps, heat exchangers, air coolers, and compressors
o pressure vessel and piping design
o Sizing pressure relief valves and control valves
o Screw Compressors and serviceabilit
o Experience reading Hysys information is an asset

• Collaborate with the team, customers, shop, and vendors and mentor other engineers.
• Address daily shop floor questions to ensure the production team is set up for success
• Review general arrangements and 3D models to ensure design constructability
• Create process flow and piping/instrument diagrams
• Take part in HAZOP and SIL review meetings
• Specify instrumentation including sizing PSVs and control valves
• Size vessels and piping based on process information
