Description:

Our clienet a NYC based Hedge Fund that trade physical energy products is adding a gasoline / distillate scheduling / blending professional
to their expanding NYC commodities businesses. This position is responsible for scheduling the delivery of refinery products by waterborne or pipeline transportation to third-party and company locations to meet customer demand. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The firm is known for top talent, generous bonuses, and long-term employment.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
5+ years of commodities scheduling and relevant industry experience.
Refinery planning and/or operations experience in Gasoline is preferred.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate pipeline, barge, and/or tanker movements for appropriate timing, batch size, and sequence of product shipments to optimize the supply of the available products from refineries and terminals, while also minimizing transportation costs and ensuring quality. Blend Gasoline Components and work with Trader to meet quality specifications.
Monitor inventories at terminals and refineries daily and adjust logistics schedules to avoid shortages and the use of excess working capital.
Develop/improve scheduling methods to efficiently utilize company resources, optimize inventory levels, and minimize transportation costs as well as coordinate the communications between terminals, risk, marketing, exchange, and product quality regarding any inventory or operational issues.
