GenAI Risk & Governance Lead - Salary of Circa £100,000.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen in the Group Data Governance and Privacy team on a 12 Month FTC for an individual who is passionate about risk, governance, and Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI).
The role will support Aviva’s Gen AI Enablement Programme to ensure the appropriate guardrails are in place across the organisation to enable safe adoption of this technology. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively across our business, designing and embedding Gen AI governance whilst overseeing the impact on the risk and control position.

This is a unique role for someone who wishes to develop their Gen AI/AI knowledge, and ideally will be someone who has a strong risk and governance experience.
A bit about the job:
The role holder will be part of Group Data Governance & Privacy team while providing Gen AI Risk & Control advice and support to the Gen AI Enablement Programme and the wider business. The ideal candidate will be part of a busy collaborative team, will be able to communicate on risk and governance requirements in relations to Gen AI.

Specifically, the role will include:

  • Monthly reporting and attendance to the Gen AI Enablement Steering Committee.
  • Chair of the monthly Gen AI Risk & Control Working Group.
  • Ownership, including revision and oversight of implementation, of the Gen AI Governance guidance.
  • Work collaboratively across Group, helping to identify control weaknesses in relation to Gen AI adoption.
  • Active external engagement to influence and prepare for regulatory/legislative change.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Engaging with stakeholders from across the Aviva group including Business Senior Data Leaders, Group Data and Group Risk.
  • You will be a great communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and build good relationships across risk and compliance and beyond.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and have a track record of a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • An ability to manage a variety of different tasks and focus on timely completion of activities is critical,
  • An awareness of AI Risks, Governance and Ethics is desirable.
