REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, COMPETENCIES:

  • At least two (2) years of relevant experience

PREFERRED OR DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working with Secret Service policies and procedures preferred.
  • Counterfeit Currency processing

EDUCATION:

  • High School or equivalent

Responsibilities:

This position uses some subject-matter knowledge and judgment to complete assignments consisting of numerous steps varying in nature and sequence. The General Clerk III selects from alternative methods and refers problems not solvable by adapting or interpreting substantive guides, manuals, or procedures.
Responsible for entering information from source documentation into electronic databases, reviews source documentation against entry specifications and seek clarification on any errors identified on source information. Flags or identifies suspect genuine currency that was incorrectly designated as counterfeit. Required to follow procedures with respect to the markings and batching notes for evaluation by government task managers.
Responsible for gathering, sorting, categorizing, and batching documents according to work types and client specifications. Responsible for accounting for all parcels and letters, using barcode scanners and batching documents according to work types and client specifications. Prepares documents for scanning and reassemble documents following the imaging process.
