As a General Counsel at TorkLaw, you will effectively and confidently tackle the following responsibilities:

  • Address fee disputes and marketing-related legal matters
  • Draft and manage C&D letters
  • Conduct business-related research and analysis
  • Manage mass tort cases as the Mass Tort Administrator
  • Provide employment law advice and guidance
  • Offer ethics advice and counsel
  • Review contracts for legal and business matters
  • Conduct conflict analysis and provide solutions
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Assist in closing high-value case sign-ups, especially major and catastrophic cases

REQUIREMENTS

  • Licensed and in Good Standing by your State Bar
  • JD from an accredited law school
  • 15+ years of legal experience
  • Proven experience with fee disputes, marketing legal matters, and mass tort cases (Mass Tort Administrator preferred)
  • Strong ability to draft/manage C&D letters and conduct business research
  • Knowledge of employment law, ethics counsel, compliance regulations, and contract review
  • Ability to assist in high-value case sign-ups
  • Independent problem-solver with proactive approach
  • Retired judges encouraged to apply
  • Ideal for candidates in CA and IL
  • Bilingual preferred but not required
