Position Overview:The General Counsel will serve as the chief legal advisor for our organization overseeing all legal matters, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and mitigating legal risks. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage complex legal issues in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Juris Doctor (JD) or post graduate law degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the bar in relevant states(may be achieved within 6 months of hire).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor law, education law, or applicable experience as in house counsel.
• Strong knowledge of corporate, contract, and employment law.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• High ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Provide legal advice and support to the executive team and various departments.
• Provide counsel regarding corporate governance and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts and agreements.
• Manage litigation and dispute resolution processes.
• Develop and implement legal strategies to protect the companys interests.
• Advise on employment law matters and mitigate legal risk regarding employee relations issues.
• Stay updated on relevant legal developments and provide training to staff on legal matters.
• Manage relationships with external legal counsel and other stakeholders.
