DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking dynamic casual General Duties / Banquets Set Up / Houseman Supervisors to assist us with all elements of room set ups and break downs at our extraordinary Centre. This ‘hand on’ role is physical and involves the manual handling, movement and set up of large furniture items around the Centre.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Ensuring all room sets and break downs are completed on time as assigned by the General Duties Manager, Food & Beverage Manager, or the Event resume.
Ensuring all equipment and furniture is moved with the utmost care following strict manual handling guidelines.
Ensuring the cleaning and maintenance of equipment, storage rooms, facilities and service areas are maintained.
Leading and supervising the day-to-day operations of General Duties / Houseman diverse teams
Ensuring both department and GCCEC policies and procedures are being observed by all team members.
Develop new procedures and guidelines where relevant to the General Duties /Houseman functions.
Assisting in the coordination of learning and development for the department, including delivering training where necessary; and
Ensuring the GCCEC Work Health and Safety requirements are met within the Operations department through compliance with all policies, procedures, and programs.
