ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Our City Operations team is looking for a new team member to join as a General Labourer– Infrastructure Maintenance.
As part of the team, some of the day-to-day things you will see yourself carrying out may include:
- Carrying out basic labouring duties that deliver civil construction and maintenance projects like roads, stormwater and footpath infrastructure.
- Driving a truck may be required within these duties.
- Assisting with basic measurements and calculations related to daily operations and materials ordering.
- Assisting with administrative processes including daily administrative documentation.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Working knowledge of the safe operation of specialised machinery used in the construction and maintenance industry.
- Practical knowledge of the fundamental nature of construction practices, products and techniques employed in the construction and maintenance of civil / municipal infrastructure including experience with asphalt.
- Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to effectively liaise and engage with members of the public and community groups.
- A Certificate III in Civil Construction or demonstrated experience within the civil construction and maintenance industry
- The following qualifications:
- MR Truck Licence
- Work Zone Traffic Management Licence
- White Card
- Be a team player but also self-motivated and happy to work independently.
