Sounds interesting? Here’s what your day would look like as a General Labourer at Tempo:
- Match office samples, artwork, and customer specifications with first-off materials being made to ensure quality of each bag, individually and as a team.
- Protect the health and safety of yourself and others by performing safety circle checks on equipment, creating work orders to repair damaged equipment, and keeping common workstations and areas clean.
- Carefully review work dockets, accurately communicating and recording any errors to the Converting Supervisor in the communication book and statistical charts.
- Use TORI to enter data throughout your shift, while monitoring machine settings for accuracy and minor troubleshooting adjustments.
- Stock supplies, change rolls, zippers, valves, and etc. as required to support the department and organization’s daily targets.
- Pack, organize, and prepare customer orders for shipment, making an impact in Canada’s food industry.
- Work as a team to overcome shift obstacles, exceed daily department targets and celebrate team successes.
- Promote Tempo’s core values by working within all company policies and procedures.
- Assist in any other duties required by the Converting Supervisor or Manager.

The salary range for this position begins at $18.75/hour, however, the final compensation will be based on many factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialties and training. We strive to be competitive in the labour market, and the above range represents Tempo’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the salary range at the time of posting.

- High School Diploma, or GED Equivalent
- Past working knowledge or experience working with a variety of converting machinery, or other transferable machinery skills would be an advantage
- Ability to adapt to new situations, solve problems, and pay close attention to small details
- High level of personal integrity and accountability, with mutual respect in dealing and speaking with others
- A positive outlook, team-oriented mindset, and a willingness to learn and grow as a person and team
