Automotive Steering Column Ltd. operates as an independent division of the Bosch Group. Our company develops, manufactures and markets steering columns for passenger cars and commercial vehicles worldwide and is a supplier to 109 automotive manufacturers. The company is headquartered in Germany. In addition to our plant in Eger, we have 20 other locations, giving us a personal presence in the most important markets.

Job Description

  • Enters financial data and transactions into the ledger, according to the internal, national and international financial standards (IAS/IFRS)
  • Reviews financial documents for accuracy and reconciling accounts, generating financial reports.
  • Analyzes financial data and providing financial recommendations towards the management.
  • Ensures that the legal entity’s financial records comply with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborates with other departments to provide accurate records and GL accounting support.
  • Prepares and supports the taxation related activities and/or providing tax documents.
  • Supports the Auditors, Controllers and other financial professionals in their duties as needed.
  • Prepares financial reconciliations, reports, and General Ledger statements.
  • Manages and maintain the Chart of Accounts in local and Business Unit levels.
  • Proactively engages in continuous improvement initiatives for the GL processes.
  • Supports internal / external audit requirements, Taxation and Treasury activities.
  • Code, process, and follow-up of structure of Chart of Accounts in SAP system.
  • Plans, concludes and reviews of system of Financial Accruals, according to internal and international standards.
  • Analyzes and manages disputes with Auditors, Compliance, SOX, TAX and Customs inspectors.
  • Communicates with internal and external partners in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Keeps the regulations of national and international standards and of the Internal Control system.
  • Assists and participates in monthly, quarterly and yearly closing and reporting procedures.
  • Liaises with administration and finance staff in other locations on General Ledger matters.
  • Ensures that GL records are filed correctly and efficiently in SAP and in other systems.
  • Identify areas where processes could be made more efficient and offer solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Very good spoken and written Hungarian and English knowledge (German or French is advantage)
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics / finance / accounting, having at least 5 years of experience as a GL Accountant in an industrial and international environment. (Local GAAP and IAS/IFRS; US-GAAP is an advance).
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in using SAP.
  • Profound knowledge of IAS / IFRS regulations and guidelines.
  • Recent experiences in an General Ledger accountant position.
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.) skills.
  • Professional people skills, autonomy, and high sense of confidentiality.
  • Experiences of planning and processing multi-currency transactions.
  • IFRS (ACCA) and/or Local GAAP Chartered Accountant certification is an advance.
