JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the General Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Chateau Nova Peace River, located in Peace River, Alberta. This is accomplished though budgeting & financial management, maintaining cost and quality standards, maximizing profits, developing and retaining employees and exceeding guest expectations.
Provide leadership in service and innovation while providing a working environment that fosters career growth and development for our team members.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive management experience in Hospitality, including a minimum of 3 years as a General Manager.
- Knowledge of Rooms Division Operations, Sales and Food & Beverage
- Displays a positive attitude, maintains enthusiasm, celebrates success.
- Ability to mentor, coach and develop the Executive Team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strategic thinker and able to help develop and support the overall business plan.
- Ability to deliver consistently outstanding customer service
- Ability to establish and maintain strong and effective relationships with all key corporate disciplines and the team.
- Fast paced and may require standing, walking or remaining on feet the entire day depending on business levels.
- Goals and standards focused, both personally and for the Team.
- Effective problem solver who finds solutions that are beneficial to the guests, associates and the organization.
- Flexible and energetic with the ability to work under pressure.
- Intermittent business travel will be required.
