Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, out going and detail-oriented General Manager to oversee operations at our upscale, trendy cocktail bar. This is a hands-on, owner-operator style role, responsible for ensuring profitability, maintaining operational excellence, and driving the success of the venue.
The ideal candidate will excel in managing financials, forecasting, and inventory while training and developing a team of A-type personalities. This role requires a big personality with a passion for hospitality and a proven ability to inspire teams, engage guests, and drive top-line sales. Proven leadership, precision, and availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the demands of a vibrant, fast-paced environment are required.
GUEST EXPERIENCE
- Lead a guest-first culture, ensuring all patrons receive outstanding service and memorable experiences.
- Be present on the floor during peak hours to engage with guests and support the team.
- Proactively interact with guests to foster relationships and respond to feedback in real-time.
- Continuously elevate the guest experience by staying ahead of trends and incorporating innovative ideas.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A big, outgoing personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- 3-5 years of experience managing upscale bars, restaurants, or similar environments.
- Proven ability to manage profit and loss statements and drive sales growth.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with a hands-on management style.
- A passion for food, cocktails, and creating exceptional guest experiences.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience as a General Manager or in a similar leadership role in a high-end bar or upscale restaurant. QSR will NOT be considered for this role.
- Strong financial acumen with a proven track record of managing profit and loss statements, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Expertise in liquor, wine, and beer costing, inventory management, and vendor relations.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to train, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A passion for hospitality, food, and cocktails with a drive to create unique guest experiences.
