JOB SUMMARY

Designer Homes of PA, a division of Ritz-Craft Corporation, is a family first group focused on the customer custom home buying experience. We are looking for a dynamic, people-oriented leader to join our team in Mifflinburg, PA and lead them into the next phase of growth.
The General Manager will oversee the daily operations of the custom home retail center, Designer Homes of PA, while maintaining financial accountability and positioning the builder for growth. They are responsible for day-to-day operations, supporting sales growth, customer satisfaction, people development and on-time shipping while maintaining safety, protection of company assets, and maximizing both material and labor efficiency. Most importantly, the General Manager will be responsible for knowing who their people are and how their people are. At Designer Homes of PA we put people first. Leading with grace, developing relationships, showing care and compassion with accountability to create a people first culture and team is a tall order and the General Manager’s primary responsibility.
Qualified applicants will be a self-starter with the ability to achieve the desired results while dealing with multiple departments and people; able to multi-task and be flexible around priorities; have excellent organizational skills; have excellent computer skills, including Excel, Word, databases and preferably HubSpot software experience; be familiar with inventory protocols and management; have strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive, high performance work teams; have the ability to anticipate, identify, and solve difficult problems in a timely manner; and modular home experience is preferred. Applicants must be able to show a proven history of developing people, culture and teams within a servant leadership style.

EXPERIENCE

  • Ten plus (10+) years of experience in increasingly responsible leadership roles in a multi-location manufacturing environment, with 5 years’ experience in senior management desired.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic efforts to drive safety, quality, consistent performance, and productivity.
  • Strong leadership skills that inspire team confidence and respect, while empowering and motivating team members in a creative and effective manner.
  • Experience in leading the design, development, and implementation of improved manufacturing processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of P&L management, manufacturing processes, quality control and supply chain management.
  • The individual should have a strong intellect combined with a practical and realistic common-sense understanding of how to get things done.
  • Demonstrated high performance with year over year improvement in key measurables and the ability to inspire the team to meet high standards.
  • Has demonstrated leadership with High Performance Teams to drive engagement & performance.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Transparency and honesty with the ability to communicate difficult messages that accurately conveys situational awareness and prioritization.
  • Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of management practices, principles, procedures, and shared best practices.
  • Proven success in a custom home builder environment with significant growth, scale, and complexity of operations issues.
  • Exceptional interpersonal verbal and written communication and team-building skills.
  • Strong leadership acumen, specifically with cross-functional and matrixed teams as well as demonstrated experiencing developing and growing teams in support of targeted KPI’s and results.
  • Demonstrated management of projects and capital projects completed on-time, in budget, and within scope.
  • Maintains composure and deals calmly and effectively with stressful situations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • ERP experience preferred.
  • HubSpot CRM a plus

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, operations, supply chain or relevant technical field from an accredited institution
  • MBA from an accredited institution a plus.

  • Oversees employment practices requiring risk management intervention
  • Translates strategic plans into actionable and timely programs for the workforce that support the team’s mission, vision and values recognizing the differing needs.
  • Ability to travel 10-20%.
