Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and dynamic General Manager to lead our hotel operations. This role requires an energetic self-starter who inspires the team to deliver exceptional guest service while fostering a positive work environment where every team member feels valued. The General Manager will oversee all operations and sales functions, ensuring high standards of quality, service, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a high level of visibility in the hotel, regularly interacting with guests and team members to ensure adherence to brand and management standards.
Develop and mentor subordinate managers, holding them accountable for departmental success.
Inspire the team to deliver superior guest service and empower them to resolve guest complaints promptly.
Maximize hotel revenues by anticipating market trends and developing strategic initiatives that capitalize on demand.
Analyze competitor intelligence to grow RevPAR and RGI effectively.
Collaborate with the Director of Sales to develop and monitor annual business and marketing plans, including participation in local and brand marketing campaigns.
Propose the annual budget and recommend capital improvements to enhance hotel assets and guest loyalty.
Control labor and operational expenses within budgeted guidelines to ensure profitability.
Utilize business data to identify opportunities for improving operational efficiencies and enhancing the guest experience.
Actively engage with the local community and build relationships with local officials and key clients.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in hotel management or equivalent.
At least 5 years of General Manager experience in a full-service hotel; Marriott experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, demonstrating professionalism and care toward team members and guests.
Excellent organizational, time management, and technology skills.
Proven track record of guest service excellence and revenue growth.
Strong background in Food and Beverage operations is a plus.
Positive references from previous superiors, colleagues, and subordinates.
