QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a municipal government-related field such as Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Leadership – required
- Advanced professional leadership development education, training, or certification – required
- Project Management Professional (PMP) – asset
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License – required
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Senior Leadership role – required
- Minimum 6 years of proven project management and budgeting experience and expertise – required
- Experience working in Human Resources, Finance, Communications, Information Technology, public administration- asset
- Labour relations experience – asset
- Proven ability to positively lead, motivate and mentor staff – required
- Experience leading in an organization that is run by a board of directors, or body of elected officials – required
- Experience working with partner organizations and external stakeholders – required
- Extensive experience with change management – required
- Demonstrated success managing and resolving conflict – required
- Demonstrated progressive competence in strategic planning, business plans and budgeting – required
- Experience presenting information, reports and professional advice to councils, boards or senior management for decision making – required
- Experience working with Alberta Municipal Government Act (MGA) and other related legislation – asset
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft office programs, with the ability to independently create and edit a variety of documents and spreadsheets – required
