QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, or Engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 10 years sales or service experience
  • Minimum of 5 years managerial experience preferred with a strong team building knowledge
  • Knowledge of oil sands mining market
  • Solid people skills
  • Background in pumps and services is preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Interprets company policies and goals to employees and enforces safety and environmental regulations, leading them to goal attainment, and policy, safety and environmental compliance
  • Develops oil sand sales strategies, goals, etc. in conjunction with corporate objectives, facilitating seamless communication across all departments
  • Develops and maintains Fort McMurray business plans to include all program requirements, labor allocation, cost management, inventory, information systems and financial oversight
  • Develops and measures KSB GIW’s Fort McMurray operations through the KPIs on each functional area of sales, service, warehouse and customer service
  • Ensure the relevant KSB GIW processes and tools are effectively in use in Fort McMurray operations
  • Develops/ensures the communication plan within the Fort McMurray Operations, as well towards KSB GIW Inc in GA and customers in Fort McMurray
  • Meets frequently with middle and upper management of the oil sands customers to ensure the customers’ plans and goals are clearly documented, and the executable action plans are created. As needed, lead the KSB GIW team on any local continuous improvement projects with the oil sand customers.
  • Furnishes sales and demand forecasts with the Ft Mc team and other reports/forecasts for the region as required
  • Determines, with KSB GIW inventory team and regional customer service manager, the correct inventory levels for Fort McMurray stock yard and be responsible for inventory count accuracy
  • Coordinates Fort McMurray activities with all other functions of the KSB GIW organization and suppliers to obtain optimum performance and utilization of human resources
  • Performs administrative activities associated with human resources (annual vacation plans, performance reviews, SIP plans etc.). Proactively coordinates with KSB GIW’s Human Resource team on any local dispute issues.
  • Maintain a positive work environment which encourages teamwork, positivity, and a strong work ethic to drive success
  • Ensure KSB GIW’s Fort McMurray operation is aligned with the local regulations, good housekeeping and safety (COR certificate)
  • Ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, permits and regulations
  • Coordinates the training/development of the Fort McMurray personnel together with KSB GIW human resources team
  • Management and control of the business financial transactions and reporting variances to plan. (P&L responsibility). Monitor financial transactions and action any variances to business plan – P&L responsibility.
  • Other duties as assigned
