As the General Manager - Operations, you will oversee and drive the operational performance of Marley Spoon Australia, ensuring efficiency, compliance and alignment with strategic business objectives. This role balances high-level strategic oversight with a hands-on approach to driving operational excellence.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • MBA and other post-graduate degrees & qualifications preferred
  • 15+years of experience in operations management, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role within FMCG, Logistics or food manufacturing.
  • Expertise in Lean/Six Sigma methodologies with a track record of driving continuous improvement.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing large, cross-functional, multi site teams.
  • Proficiency in operational management software, ERP/MRP systems, and AI-driven automation tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations (GMP, HACCP) and compliance.
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions to optimize operational performance.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and project management skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and drive growth across production, fulfilment, logistics, and supply chain operations.
  • Production & Fulfilment: Ensure efficient production processes, on-time deliveries, and resource optimization to meet customer demand.
  • Logistics & Supply Chain: Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, inventory management, and demand planning to maintain operational excellence.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and AI-driven solutions to enhance operational performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to food safety standards (GMP, HACCP), regulatory requirements, and best industry practices.
  • Reporting & Data-Driven Decision Making: Monitor KPIs, provide insights, and drive strategic initiatives based on performance analytics.
