JOB DESCRIPTION
- Develop the South Africa business in line with Regional and Area priorities and Access to Medicine framework, ensuring deep and breath access for selected brands, implement Health Systems Strengthening in close alignment with local stakeholders, and serve as a talent engine for the organization.
- Accelerate patient access to medicines by prioritizing an integrated, sustainable approach to broaden access to our life-changing medicines through partnerships with external stakeholders and working closely with the Access to medicine office (ATMO).
- work closely with external partners to manage performance of out license business whilst ensuring compliance with Takeda values
- Be a custodian of Takeda’s values and ensure this is demonstrated through decisions based on patient, trust, reputation and business in that order.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Medical, Pharmacy or Life Sciences.
- Minimum of 10 years’ work experience in commercial operations with strong market access and policy shaping experience.
- Proven track record in leading, managing and motivating individuals and teams.
- Launch experience of innovative pharmaceutical products.
