Job Details:
Job Summary: Reporting to the Managing Director EMEA, this General Manager role is responsible for providing the strategic leadership and direction for a significant London centred Service Contract, along with its associated D&B program. With annual revenue close to £100M and responsibility for approximately 500 employees, you will oversee all aspects of contract performance/compliance, including service delivery, project delivery (including planning, resourcing, compliant execution, and migration to operations), and financial performance. Cultivate strong client relationships to nurture long-term partnerships, bolster client satisfaction and grow the business. Works under limited supervision and direction and regularly exercises substantial and discretionary decision-making authority.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • As a member of the CTS EMEA Senior Leadership Team develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth, expand client penetration with other services, and achieve revenue targets.
  • Develop and implement the annual operating plan (AOP) and Strategic growth plan.
  • Leadership of direct and in-direct cross functional teams, sub-contractors, and partners.
  • Develop employee engagement and communication strategies to shape and build the CTS EMEA culture.
  • Hire and develop talent to meet the needs of the business. Provide a clear vision, direction on goals and outcomes fostering a culture of ownership and accountability. Provide regular feedback and manage performance to achieve individual and team goals. Responsible for building a pipeline of talent to leadership succession.

Operational Management

  • Responsible for the effective execution of all service operations, working in partnership with the global service organization. Monitor and track KPIs, implement strategies to enable client satisfaction.
  • Meets financial goals, identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency.
  • Monitor program, financial and operational KPIs, identify potential risk and develop strategies to mitigate.
  • Review performance metrics to understand the programs performance, identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor progress, track milestones, and manage resources effectively. Mitigate risks and resolve issues that arise.
  • Plan and manage resources and ensure program activities are completed on time, within budget and meet customer expectations, working collaboratively within the global matrix.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual requirements.

Program Management

  • Drive program management excellence and adherence with company standards and procedures.
  • Responsible for the execution of the program ensuring contractual compliance, define program requirements, scope, resources, key milestones, and acceptance of deliverables.
  • Monitor progress, track milestones, and manage resources effectively. Mitigate risks and resolve issues that arise.
  • Plan and manage resources and ensure program activities are completed on time, within budget and meet customer expectations, working collaboratively within the global matrix.

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client, stakeholders, and key partners to understand their needs, address concerns and identify new business opportunities.
  • Build collaborative relationships with the matrix teams including engineering, procurement, supply chain and business development to meet business objectives.
  • Provide direction to sales and business development to acquire and focus resources to achieve growth plans.

Other

  • Keep up to date on industry trends, an expert on service delivery, program management, and people development.
  • Represent the company at industry events and client functions for the purpose of business development and brand enhancement.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Domestic travel required and may require international travel from time to time.

Minimum Job Requirements:
Must have proven service leadership experience. Requires knowledge of government procurement, contracting, and standards and specifications, prior experience of delivering complex technical programs in a regulated industry, transportation experience desirable but not essential. Strong financial acumen: must have minimum of 5 years leading a P&L of $100M annual revenue, experienced managing budgets and being held accountable for the performance to budget.
Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of building and developing individuals and teams. Able to establish a vision, provide direction and shape culture through effective communication and engagement strategies.
Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to effectively deal with all stakeholders: customers, employees, and other management at all levels. Skilled at public speaking, and able to present complex data. Able to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
Proven track record of operational management, ideally in regional and multi-site matrix organization. Prior experience of managing change; and sponsoring innovation whilst building a culture of continuous improvement. Strong people management skills: Able to coach and mentor others and able to build trust across the organization.
Ambitious, self-motivated, and driven to execute on commitments. Strong interpersonal skills, culturally aware and able to influence others in accordance with company values to get things done. Highly organized and able to set appropriate priorities for self and others. Must have proven ability to influence and motivate with a flexible and open attitude to be open to ideas from all sources.
Four-year degree and a minimum of ten years in a relevant field with an emphasis on the CTS industry preferred but not essential, engineering background and MBA highly preferred.
