Description:

Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney is looking for those who are enthusiastic and committed to their trade and quality workmanship to join our Engineering Team and carryout maintenance of mechanical plant and equipment for the efficient operation of all hotel systems.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repairs to various hotel systems and equipment (where specialist skills or license are not required)
  • Conducts preventative maintenance on equipment assigned from the maintenance schedule.
  • Rectifies faults as they occur to ensure continuous availability of services to other trades and Shift Engineers.
  • Collaborate with Shift Engineers where necessary to adjust HVAC and other system parameters to ensure high operating efficiency and reduced energy costs.
  • Prepare lists of spare parts and consumable materials required for repair work to be undertaken or to replenish stock used.
  • Execute additional maintenance tasks as directed.

Your Profile:

  • Trade qualification in Mechanical, Fitter, or similar.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in hotel maintenance or related field.
  • Effective communication in English.
  • Willingness for shift work.
  • Proficient in Building Management System operation.
  • Knowledge of manual handling techniques.
  • Full availability for a 7-day rotating roster.
  • Full Australian working rights.
