We are now looking to recruit a General Operations Manager to join our dedicated Just One Call Team based in Emerson Green – Bristol.
Just One call is an established division within the FSW Group of Companies predominantly supporting national refrigeration contractors in the retail sector. We continue look to expand the business which allows for career progression within the organisation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and overseeing daily operations of the branch align with the vision of the company and ensure that customer expectations are met.
Having an excellent level level of education and ideally with a professional leadership and management qualification you will have proven experience of both employee and client management and ideally will have proven experience in the air conditioning and /or refrigeration industry. Experience gained from a similar service driven background will be considered.
With proven experience in people management and team building of no less than 10 people in a similar role is essential.
Having excellent communication skills, you will be self-motivated, proactive and possess the skills needed to lead, motivate and develop the wider team. As General Ops Manager, you will need to be able to maintain and develop relationships with key customers.
A good level of office to include Word, Excel and some PowerPoint knowledge is essential.
Reporting to the Group Sales Director, the main duties of the role include:
- Overseeing the daily operations of the business unit, ensuring targets are achieved and reporting key branch results to Senior Management and Directors.
- Ideally the successful candidate would have some level of engineering, and technical knowledge to confidently discuss the various options available from our product portfolio and advise the customer accordingly however, product training and support will be offered to the successful person.
- Responsibility for leading the team via effective operational management and compliance, whilst encouraging an environment for continuous improvement.
- Developing effective relationships with key managers across the wider group and to develop sound working practices to meet both todays and future needs of the business.
- Identify, develop and maintain strong customer relationships at all levels and to be the main point of contact for all high level operational queries.
- Providing direct management of key functional supervisors at the branch and to develop the team through effective people management to include training, team meetings, one to ones, objective setting that stretch and develop colleagues.
- To ensure effective people management activities are undertaken as required.
- Work under pressure and ensure all customer KPI’s are achieved and exceeded.
- Some travel will be required therefore, a full driving licence is essential.
