General Radiographer

Find & Treat are currently recruiting a B5 radiographer.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of both the Find & Treat Mobile Health Unit Mobile X-ray Camera and the new Portable DRGo System.
You will need to be dynamic in your approach to your duties and welcoming to challenges that are somewhat unusual for a traditional radiography post.
Your regular place of work will be community based. This will either be on the Mobile Health Unit or working internally within our stakeholder venues in a designated safe space.
You will need an adaptive work ethic that is open minded and be sympathetic to vulnerable members of society. Be open to working in custodial settings for example HMP estates.
You will need to be prepared to work the occasional weekend and bank holiday and some unsocial hours.

• Ensure that all equipment is in excellent working order and meets manufacturers minimal requirements for safe use.
• Ensure all local environments to be used as x-ray rooms meet the specifications as laid out in the Find&Treat local rules.
• Ensure all appropriate safety garments are available for use and serviceable.
• Responsible for the safe imaging of service users on the M1 Mobile X-ray system housed on the Mobile Health Unit and the use of the DRGo Portable X-ray System in community venues.
• Ensure image quality exceeds the minimum acceptable levels as documented.
• Ensure that individual service user safety is paramount, prior, during and post exposure.
• Ensure that all service user details are recorded accurately prior to exposure and rectify/report errors if applicable.
• To perform a range of radiographic procedures to a required standard.
• To support assistants and student radiographers in service delivery and personal development
• To provide professional support to colleagues, medical and nursing staff and all other staff groups.
• To ensure professional practice, and that of the Directorate, is maintained and extended through participation in Continuous Professional Development.
