About the role
Reporting into the Head of Retail this is a pivotal role within our London Dealership. This role will play a crucial role in driving sales growth, managing the sales team, and maintaining strong customer relationships. The candidate will combine outstanding leadership, strategic thinking, and analytical skills to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the organisation.

Responsibilities:

Sales Targets: Ensuring the sales targets are met, aligned with the overall business objectives.
Team Management : Recruit, train, and motivate the sales team, providing guidance and support to help team members improve their performance including one-to-ones.
Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior management to develop effective sales strategies, identify target markets, and explore new business opportunities. May also participate in pricing and promotional decisions.
Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Analyse market trends, customer preferences, and sales data to generate accurate sales forecasts and reports.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, addressing their concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Sales Performance Evaluation: Regularly evaluate the performance of individual team members, providing constructive feedback and implementing performance improvement plans when necessary, also assess the overall team’s performance and take steps to enhance sales effectiveness.
Market Research and Competitor Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Collaborate with the finance department to establish sales budgets and allocate resources accordingly.
Collaboration and Communication: Foster collaboration and effective communication within the sales team and other departments, such as marketing, product development, and customer service.
C omputer Systems and Processes: Must have a good understanding of all processes and systems to ensure they are being adhered to at all times.
Experience to succeed
Stacking Deals - understand customer requirements and deals to offer based on sales targets.
Experience as a Sales Manager/General Sales Manager in a busy Retail Car Sales environment.
Previous line management experience essential.
Automotive industry experiences essential.
Effective communication skills and be able to build strong network as well as influence stakeholders effectively.
Systems knowledge preferred: Kerridge, /Pinewood/Keyloop/Deal file
Competent using Microsoft Office package including Excel
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
