Description:

Founded in 1979, with the largest inventory of carbon steel products in Alberta and a long-serving staff of dedicated people, Price Steel Ltd. is the premier steel service centre in Western Canada.
We are currently seeking a Welder: to join our West Edmonton team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Duties are approximately 90% repair welding and 10% new fabrication
  • Ability to perform various welding techniques, including MIG or Stick, flame cutting and air arc
  • Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, and grinding
  • Repair of highway trailers
  • Repair of large and small scrap metal bins
  • Complete appropriate documentation for all service and repairs
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Other projects and duties as assigned by Supervisor

Core Competencies:

  • Experience with repairs
  • Ability to work safety and maintain a safe working environment
  • Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities
  • A motivated and punctual self-starter
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Essential Skills and Experience::

  • Experience of 2-3 years in the welding trade
  • General welder, apprentice or other
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to work 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday, no weekends
