Description:
Founded in 1979, with the largest inventory of carbon steel products in Alberta and a long-serving staff of dedicated people, Price Steel Ltd. is the premier steel service centre in Western Canada.
We are currently seeking a Welder: to join our West Edmonton team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Duties are approximately 90% repair welding and 10% new fabrication
- Ability to perform various welding techniques, including MIG or Stick, flame cutting and air arc
- Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, and grinding
- Repair of highway trailers
- Repair of large and small scrap metal bins
- Complete appropriate documentation for all service and repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Other projects and duties as assigned by Supervisor
Core Competencies:
- Experience with repairs
- Ability to work safety and maintain a safe working environment
- Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities
- A motivated and punctual self-starter
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Essential Skills and Experience::
- Experience of 2-3 years in the welding trade
- General welder, apprentice or other
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to work 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday, no weekends
