Description:
KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS
- QUALIFICATIONSGrade 12 or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
- 1 years’ experience in a similar position.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Familiarity to operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners etc.
- A thorough practical knowledge of best practices in housekeeping processes, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Awareness and understanding of the ISO Standard requirements relevant to the position.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Highly motivated and able to work independently, with the capacity to identify and resolve issues related to cleaning or administrative tasks independently.
- Time management skill, with the ability to efficiently plan and prioritize cleaning tasks to ensure all areas are adequately cleaned within designated timeframes.
- Being thorough and meticulous in cleaning to maintain a tidy and hygienic workspace.
- Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writing.
- Understanding how to categorize, label, and store documents efficiently, both in physical filing systems and digital archives.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Due to the nature of the position, the employee must be able to work outside the contractual working hours when required, within the criteria of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act.
- The employee is responsible for familiarizing themselves with the Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) document provided by the company. It is the duty of the employee to ensure awareness of the associated risks and hazards of their positions. Any new risks or hazards identified during the conducting of their duties, which are not documented in the HIRA, must be promptly reported to the SHE Rep or SHEQ Department.
- The employee must maintain a valid medical certificate at all times, confirming their fitness to perform the duties associated with their role. Regular medical check-ups and assessments will be required to ensure ongoing compliance with this requirement.
