Our mission is to co-create loving communities where generations of students, teachers, and leaders learn, grow, and develop. OVERVIEW OF THE LEADERSHIP RESIDENCY: The Generation Teach Leadership Residency is a multi-month, national leadership development experience for anti-racist educators. We have an explicit commitment to ending racial injustice and inequity in education. In every Residency session, we develop skills and practice scenarios to co-create loving cultures where students, teachers, and leaders learn, grow, and develop. During the Residency, you will grow your skills in Justice & equity, Instructional leadership, People & Culture, Family & community engagement, Operations & management The schedule features: Weekly, 3-hour virtual sessions, Two half-day in-person preparation sessions, Six-week, in-person leadership practicum. WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE: You will receive up to $9,151 to support your participation, including a cash living allowance ($7,392), an AmeriCorps Education Award ($1,459), and up to $300 in expense reimbursements upon successful completion of the residency. By completing the residency, you are eligible to earn three graduate credits from the University of Colorado - Denver for a reduced cost. Member Duties : The Generation Teach Leadership Residency will be virtual April- May. The summer leadership practicum will be in-person. We will prepare you to lead during the 6-week summer practicum. You will lead in-person as an Academic Team Leader or Student Support Team Leader at one of our GT STEAM Academy sites in Colorado, Maryland, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Texas, or Washington DC.
