JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Are you looking for an opportunity to be part of movie production? Sunbelt Rentals Film & TV, previously known as William F White International Inc. , the largest movie equipment rental company, is looking for a Generator Technician to join us. With offices across the country, Sunbelt Rentals Film & TV services productions of all sizes from coast to coast and houses an extensive state-of-the-art inventory. Our job is to help bring the magic of storytelling to life, by supporting our clients as their go-to Partners in Production.
To better serve the production industry’s growing ambitions, our Lighting & Grip team is looking for an eager and experienced individuals to join us in the role of Generator Technician. This is a full-time, permanent position located in Toronto.
Responsibilities:
- Must be able to diagnose and perform repairs on a variety of fleet vehicles including but not limited to: Tractors, Trailers, Cube Vans, Delivery Vehicles, Lift Trucks, Shop Equipment, Lifting Devices, mobile equipment, AC Generators etc.
- Must be able to diagnose and repair brakes, transmissions, differentials, clutches, hydraulic systems, valves, pumps, vehicle electronics/diagnostics and electrical/lighting problems.
- Perform regular maintenance scheduled services as per manufacturers recommendations on vehicles as needed.
- Must work with frontline staff to order parts or provide details as needed to maintain stock and picks up parts from supplier as required.
- Must be able to perform field service calls and repairs as needed.
- Must have knowledge of welding on non-structural steel and aluminum equipment as needed.
- Maintains accurate repair notes on work orders for company and to MTO compliance.
