Welcome to Swansea Bay University Health Board.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Band 4 Generic Therapy Technician within the elective orthopaedic team at Neath Port Talbot Hospital.

In this post, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team assisting with therapy programs for patients within the Swansea Bay locality delivering care under the guidance of the therapy team to facilitate early rehabilitation and independence following surgery.
This role is shared across Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy and is a fantastic opportunity for successful applicants to develop new skills. We believe in developing our staff and you will receive regular support and supervision to ensure you are equipped with the tools and knowledge to thrive in the role.
We are looking for applicants with a keen interest in rehabilitation, preferably with some experience of working within a health or social care environment. The team delivers a 7 day service, offering extended hours and flexible working pattern. The team is friendly and welcoming and warmly supports colleagues.
The ability to travel across all Healthboard sites and carry out community visits is essential.
To promote independence, health, well-being and safety within the community and inpatient settings adapting the client’s social and physical environment to support the individual’s optimum functioning.
The jobholder will work in a variety of settings, which may include;
Hospital wards
Community settings (including patient homes)
Outpatient clinics
Exercise classes
