Description:

Overview:
Assist the genetic counseling team in the daily tasks of counseling patients and families about genetic disease, genetic testing procedures and test results. Works in association with the genetic counseling team and other clinicians regarding the information collected from and discussed with patients

Qualifications:

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Bachelor’s degree in biology, genetics, or related field.
  • Additional Skills Required: Possess excellent communication skills to work with the genetic counseling team in the coordination of patient care and day-to-day flow of clinic. Manage various tracking databases associated with affiliated clinics. Possess skills to accept responsibility and make decisions. Promote and maintain compatible working relationships among personnel in the section. Communicate well with other health care professionals, patients and families. Effective communication skills listening, writing, talking, and reading. Ability to maintain patience and confidentiality. Ability to work efficiently and accurately. Ability to organize and plan work.
