GEOLOGICAL TECHNICIAN:
The Coeur Silvertip mine located in British Columbia, just 10 miles south of the Yukon border is seeking a Geological Technician to work in a camp-based environment rotating on a two week in/two week out shift rotation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Fundamental geologic knowledge considered an asset;
- Post-Secondary Education in geosciences considered an asset;
- Core logging and cutting experience considered an asset;
- Experience working with oriented core considered an asset;
- Valid driver’s license;
- Able to lift core boxes weighing up to 60 pounds;
- Physically fit to perform the duties of the position
- Training provided.
Additional Information: Willing to work a two week on/off schedule, working 12 hours per day at a remote mine camp. Yukon and Northern B.C. residents only considered for this position.

Responsibilities:
- Complete geotechnical logging of oriented diamond drill core;
- Maintain core logging data in database;
- Sample and cut diamond drill core (fit-tested respirator required);
- Track and catalogue drill core and samples;
- Manage core sample shipments;
- Perform pre-operational checks, operate equipment, and perform all job functions according to Safe Operating Procedures;
- Assist geologists as required.
