Boliden Mines staff function has approximately 300 employees and includes, among other departments: HR & Sustainability, Finance, Technology, Business Development and Exploration.
Are you ready for new challenges? The Exploration department - Field Exploration Copper, are now looking for a Geologist.
Key responsibilities:
- Exploration activities for Ni and Cu to be carried out in Northern Sweden.
- Responsibilities are focused on the design, execution, and reporting of brown- and green-fields exploration work programs.
- Daily work tasks include legacy data compilation, new target generation, geochemical sampling, bedrock mapping, drill core logging, data interpretation, geological modelling, and report writing.
- You will commonly be a part of projects in cooperation with other exploration and mining specialists, both inside and outside of Boliden, including other geologists, field technician’s geophysicists, resource modelers, engineers, and permitting and environmental personnel.
This is a permanent full-time position. The position is based out of the Boliden Office.
Requirements:
- A completed university degree in geosciences of bachelor’s level or higher and greater than 3 years’ experience in mineral exploration and/or mining.
- You should be self-managing, service oriented, creative, and can cooperate with others.
- Previous experience in the exploration of Ni and Cu mineral systems is of merit.
- Team oriented, communicative and proficient in English and Swedish
- A driver’s license for a passenger car
