DESIRED COMPETENCIES AND REQUIREMENTS

• Five (5) years’ experience in mining and mineral exploration, preferably in a gold mining environment;
• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field; Certification in GIS or database systems is an asset;
• Proficiency with SQL databases (implementation, management, and querying); Knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI and ArcGIS Insights;
• Experience with geospatial software (e.g., ArcGIS, Surfer) and modeling tools (e.g., Leapfrog, Vulcan, Datamine); and
• Basic Python scripting skills for data processing and analysis.

• Design and implement geospatial datasets accessible across multiple operational sites. Manage and optimize geological and mining data within SQL databases;
• Develop dashboards and visual tools using Power BI, ArcGIS Insights, or similar platforms;
• Automate data analysis and reporting workflows with Python scripting (preferred);
• Perform regular validation and QA/QC checks on geological data, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Collaborate with geologists and engineers to identify and rectify data inconsistencies or errors;
• Assist with the integration of field data into database systems for grade control, ore delineation, and reconciliation;
• Provide support for orebody modeling, stockpile tracking, and sampling protocols;
• Conduct training sessions and workshops to improve geologists’ proficiency in data tools, analysis, and database management;
• Manage the technical aspects of geological hazard identification and data reporting for underground and open pit operations;and
• Support drill targeting, collar setup, and progress tracking for exploration programs.
