We have an exciting opportunity to join our busy Geophysical Engineering Workshop Team where you’ll be responsible for the mechanical maintenance, assembly, calibration and repair of geophysical equipment and instruments.
This is a hands on role and requires more of a mechanical bias but responsibilities also include testing and calibration of electronic equipment.
The position also provides a great opportunity for some travel support the mobilization of our vessels in and around various UK ports and on some occasions a little further afield.

Responsibilities:
- Regularly inspect geophysical instruments to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, refurbishing, and replacing worn-out parts and diagnose and repair faulty equipment.
- Calibrate geophysical instruments to ensure precise measurements ensuring detailed records of maintenance, repairs and calibrations are maintained.
- Forklift truck operation and organisation of warehouse and yard.
- Assisting in the mobilisation of vessels away from base.
- Adherence to all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment in the workshop.
