Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a talented Geospatial ML Solutions Engineer to join our growing European presence. This role reports to the Head of AI Research (AIR) and works cross-functionally with Atlas AI’s global Software Engineering and Applied Data Science teams. Your mission is to design, develop, and implement innovative geospatial solutions for our internal and external customers across various industries. You will access proprietary, cutting-edge AI/ML models and CV technology, and develop end-to-end workflows to generate product-ready deliverables. You will interface with peer software engineers, domain experts, data scientists, machine learning engineers, product designers, and product marketers. You will work at the intersection of our leading AI research activities and software engineering to advance our product roadmap.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement geospatial solutions: Analyze customer needs, design custom solutions leveraging our proprietary tech stack, licensed tools, data analysis techniques, and spatial modeling
- Data management and processing: Ingest, clean, process, analyze and manage large geospatial datasets from various sources (remote sensing, mobility, financial, etc.)
- AI/ML: assemble application-specific training data sets, train and deploy proprietary and open AI/ML models, evaluate model performance and output quality, deploy at production scale
- Cloud: Architect scalable and serverless means of deploying your solutions that bring together assets within and across cloud platforms (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure)
- QA: Develop thorough validation and Quality Assurance protocols to benchmark and assure robustness of solutions
- Create technical documentation: Develop clear and concise documentation for implemented solutions, including performance benchmarks, user guides, technical specifications, and training materials
- Collaborate with internal teams and external clients: Communicate technical details effectively, understand client needs, and provide expert guidance
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies: Continuously research and learn about new geospatial technologies and best practices
- Contribute to the development of company’s geospatial products and services
