About Us
Since starting in Perth in 2012, CMW Geosciences has expanded to 19 business units with over 300 employees across Australia and New Zealand. We are hard-working, down-to-earth, and passionate Geotech professionals, providing quality geotechnical site investigation, analysis, and design advice to the construction, infrastructure, mining and energy sectors.
Our Perth-based design team is looking to bring on geotechnical engineers with design experience in a consultancy setting. You would be working on projects ranging from inner city buildings and infrastructure to remote tailings storage facilities. We are open to speaking with candidates with anywhere from 3 to 12 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with the technical team to develop, provide and promote design solutions, options and initiatives to meet client needs
- Work with the senior technical team to contribute to detailed designs for projects ranging from building foundations to temporary works, infrastructure and tailings storage facilities.
- Undertake technical and non-technical tasks and take responsibility for the accuracy and quality of our work
- Ensure that the projects are completed on time, within budget and to the desired quality standards
- Maintaining good relationships with existing clients and working with the client relations/business development team to target new opportunities
Qualifications/Experience/Attributes
- Motivated, enthusiastic and eager to learn
- Team player
- Qualified Geotechnical/Civil Engineer with 3+ years of experience working in a geotechnical consulting environment.
- Good analytical skills and prior knowledge of geotechnical design software will be viewed favourably (Plaxis, Rocscience Slide, RSPile, Settle3, LimitState Geo etc.)
- Experience working on tailings storage facilities is preferred but not necessary.
- Have proven experience when it comes to design delivery of complex projects
- Exceptional organisation and communication skills, both verbal and written
- A high standard of accuracy and attention to detail is a must
- Current Aus drivers license
