JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director, Partnership Management OTC-CPG, the Partnership Manager will oversee strategic partnerships and alliances within the OTC_CPG categories for McKesson Global Procurement and Sourcing (MGPS). The Partnership Manager will play a critical role in expanding our market reach and drive revenue growth through collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders. The Partnership Manager will collaborate with internal teams across markets to ensure consistent alignment and execution with Category Management and Operations stakeholders on supplier programs that will add value to McKesson.

SECTION C – POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Working Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in strategic negotiations, vendor relationship management, strategic sourcing, manufacturer planning and category management in the CPG-OTC industries.
  • Wholesale distribution experience is an asset.
  • Retail Category management experience is an asset.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or equivalent.

  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Solid negotiation and communication skills, with ability to build consensus among key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership.
  • Excellent partnering skills.

Technical Skills

  • Bilingual, both written and spoken.
  • The incumbent of this position will provide daily support to internal and/or external clients outside Quebec and/or in the United States. Therefore, he/she must be proficient in spoken and written English. Please note that the number of positions requiring English language skills has been limited where possible.
  • Knowledge of MS Office products (Power Point, Excel, Word, Project and Visio).
  • Knowledge of procurement process and project management.
  • Understanding of inventory management.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and market research tools.

Responsibilities:

SECTION A – SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Vendor management oversight to include collaborating and negotiating extensively with national brand vendor community in support of financial yields in addition to ongoing monitoring of targets/ KPI tied to compensation.
  • Drives value-based relationships with partner companies, key decisions makers and industry influencers.
  • Acts as the main stakeholder that will ensuring strategic alignment with Category Management and goals of McKesson Canada retail businesses and acts as the liaison on behalf of MGPS.
  • Negotiate, and manage wholesale and retail agreements, costs, vendor allowances/terms, for Canada-based suppliers.
  • Works with stakeholders who manage day-to-day supply chain and replenishment to align on strategies for value added services.
  • Understands McKesson Canada’s market position and value proposition to maximize supplier value generation.
  • Collaborates with MGPS colleagues responsible for sourcing in other markets to share best practices and consistency in supplier messaging.
  • Collaborates with McKesson Sales, Operations, and key customers to uncover value-add opportunities and programs presented by supplier community.
  • Responsible for the Life Cycle management, by managing the renewal and renegotiation of Retail and Wholesale agreements, ensuring compliance with company’s terms and conditions and financial yield requirements.
  • Track and monitor financial performance versus established budgets, identifying variances and their causes.

SECTION B – GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain a relevant business knowledge of product categories by staying abreast of market & industry trends and competitive landscape.
  • Promote collaboration and alignment / share best practices across Strategic Procurement Team.
  • Act as McKesson ambassadors for corporate values (ICARE, ILEAD)
