Description:

Overview:
The Market Intelligence and Pricing Manager will report to the VP of Markets and Pricing. They will be responsible for gathering and analyzing market data, optimizing pricing models, and supporting the sales team in executing their sales plans.
Responsibilities:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in market intelligence, pricing strategy, or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
  • Exceptional Excel skills, including proficiency in advanced functions, data analysis, and modeling tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information effectively.
  • Experience in participating in industry events and engaging in customer discussions to gather market intelligence.
  • Familiarity with contract analysis and revenue optimization strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Market Research and Analysis:
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify pricing trends, customer preferences, and competitive dynamics.
  • Participate in industry-related fairs and customer discussions to gather insights and enhance market understanding.
  • Pricing Strategy Development:
  • Develop and implement effective pricing strategies that align with market conditions and business objectives.
  • Utilize advanced Excel tools to create and optimize pricing models, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
  • Sales Support and Enablement:
  • Provide the sales organization with timely and relevant market intelligence to support effective sales planning and execution.
  • Develop tools and resources, including pricing calculators and competitive analysis reports, to aid the sales team in their efforts.
  • Contract Review and Optimization:
  • Review current contracts to identify opportunities for optimization and revenue streamlining.
  • Collaborate with operations, legal and finance teams to ensure alignment on pricing strategies and contract terms.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with the VP of Markets and Pricing to align market intelligence and pricing strategies with overall business goals.
  • Maintain regular communication with sales teams to gather feedback and refine the relevance of market insights.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of pricing strategies and market initiatives, adjusting as needed based on performance metrics.
  • Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to pricing and market intelligence efforts to the VP of Markets and Pricing.
  • Team work:
  • Mentor a team of sales support analysts to ensure the delivery of high-quality market insights and pricing strategies.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
