WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

Our Northern NSW Business is currently looking for a Graduate Stakeholder Engagement Consultant to join our growing Environment & Community team in Newcastle. You will have a passion for stakeholder engagement, social sustainability, community engagement and communications, with the willingness to work across a range of industry sectors. The successful applicant will work as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team across a variety of high-profile infrastructure, resources, environmental and policy projects.

  • Craft engaging communication materials like plans, newsletters, and social media content.
  • Engage in community consultation, identifying and connecting with stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing Stakeholder and Community Engagement Strategies and Social Impact Assessments.
  • Help manage community consultation events.
  • Analyse data, draft reports, and conduct demographic and stakeholder analyses.
  • Design and manage qualitative and quantitative studies.
  • Support projects with proposal preparation, data entry, and other administrative tasks.

To be successful in this role you will have the following academic and personal attributes:

  • A degree in Communications/Public Relations/Marketing/Journalism/Social Science/Arts or a related discipline. You may have recently graduated or will be graduating by the end of 2024.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn a wide range of skills.
  • The ability to multi-task and self-prioritise workload
