• Schedule: Full time, day shift working 4 12hr shifts/week from 7:00am - 5:30pm, rotating night, weekend, and holiday call, self-scheduling
• Hospital: Ascension Via Christi, St Francis

REQUIREMENTS

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
• Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services (KSBEMS)obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Medical Assistant obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Acceptable issuing authoritiesinclude American Allied Health National Certification and Registration, American Association ofMedical Assistants, National Association for Health Professionals and National HealthcareAssociation.
• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Kansas Nurse Aide Registry obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date.
• Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting(NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Perform patient care related to the digestive system.

Responsibilities:

• Provide instructions as indicated for each specific Gastroenterology (GI) procedure. Confer withnursing staff when needed.
• Document patient assessment and health history from patient/family.
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations in patient care.
• Make post procedure calls on Gastroenterology (GI) patients. Report concerns to nursingstaff/physician as indicated.
