Job Description
As a GIS/CAD Specialist at FLINT, you will play a key role in supporting our Environmental Services team by creating figures for environmental assessments, managing AutoCAD data, and producing accurate reports. This role can be based in FLINT’s Western Canadian offices or remotely.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical diploma in GIS, Environmental Science, or related field with 5+ years of drafting experience using AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge and experience of software programs, including Autodesk and Bentley products; AutoCAD, GINT and Surfer.
- Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite, Nitro PDF, Adobe Acrobat and PDF Exchange Editor.
- Knowledge of Alberta Environmental Regulations relating to contaminated sites and waste management.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct spatial analysis and create and interpret 2D/3D models, including groundwater diagrams, drill plans, and risk maps in AutoCAD.
- Create reporting figures for phase 1, phase 2 environmental site assessments and remediation diagrams.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the accuracy of deliverables and perform quality assurance/control.
- Review and analyze field data, such as field notes, sketches, borehole logs, etc., to produce accurate report figures and manage GPS coordinates for maps and work plans.
- Precisely edit data through digitization, scanning, and conversion in compliance with standardized processes.
- Other projects and assignments as required.
