POSITION SUMMARY
One temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position available in Capital Planning and Design.
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualifications:
- It is preferred, but not required, that the incumbent demonstrates current enrollment status at CSUS student (must be at Junior level or higher).
- It is preferred, but not required, that the incumbent is enrolled at CSUS as a Geography Major or MSIS – Geospatial Analysis.
- Demonstrates knowledge of GIS, GPS and Remote Sensing and experience using ArcGIS.
- Demonstrates familiarity of other campus mapping projects.
- Possesses excellent customer service skills, motivation, dependability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
- Demonstrates the ability to work on projects with minimal supervision and/or with a team.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
Responsibilities:
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Create, update, and maintain GIS database, utilizing Trimble GPS equipment and software to locate campus information.
- Some projects will require importing CAD data from existing campus files.
- Collect information by field survey to update campus maps, such as utilities, trees, floor plans and other campus features.
- Maintain and update the campus space allocation drawings.
- Other duties as assigned.
