ABOUT THE COMPANY:

Terra Archaeology Limited (Terra) is a mid-size professional archaeological services company that operates throughout British Columbia. Terra has a diverse and growing client base including indigenous communities, federal and provincial government agencies, private sector corporations, and private landowners.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

Terra is seeking a highly organized, flexible, and focused individual to join our team in a full-time capacity at either our Victoria or Richmond offices. Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Hybrid work will be an option.

SKILL AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Undergraduate degree or technical diploma in GIS
• Proficient with Esri software (ArcGIS or ArcGIS Pro)
• Knowledge of vector-based graphics software like CorelDRAW
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365
• Knowledge of various data collection tools and their corresponding data outputs
• Ability to behave in a professional and politically sensitive manner

• Manage and convert data from clients including georeferencing
• Prepare maps and spatial data for archaeological fieldwork
• Editing and/or creating figures and detailed site maps for reporting purposes
• Graphic production for artifacts and wall profiles
